End of Time

by Roman Bershadsky

The streaks of light are dancing on the windshield
To the music of turning wheels
The night has spread its wings above horizon
Caressing creatures of the night

And here they come, they walk alone, beyond emotions
The dying dreams are in their wake
If only we would look into their empty eyes,
We would have recognized ourselves.

The end of time. I look at you and nothing matters anymore
The universe comes down burning all around us
And I don't care. I hear your voice, what do I care that world is ending...

The fabric of reality gets thinner
The words are falling through the gaps
They lose their form, their sound and their meaning
I'm getting close, but yet so far

The end of time. I look at you and nothing matters anymore
The universe comes down burning all around us
And I don't care. I touch your hair, what do I care that world is ending...

The cities seem intact, the buildings standing,
But everything is crumbling in our heads.
We're almost gone, humanity's dissolving,
becoming creatures of the night

The end of time. I look at you and nothing matters anymore
The universe comes down burning all around us
And I don't care. I taste your lips, what do I care that world is ending...
